Update on PACK EXPO International and Healthcare Packaging EXPO

Nothing brings our industry together like PACK EXPO International and Healthcare Packaging EXPO. In this episode of UnPACKED with PMMI, Laura Thompson, VP, Trade Shows provides an update on the status of November’s show, and why it is more important than ever for exhibitors and attendees to take advantage of the connections and opportunity it provides.

Exhibitor Service Manual Now Available

On Monday, June 8 you should have received an email from PACK EXPO Services informing you that the Exhibitor Service Manual is now available. If you did not receive that email, please contact the PMMI Show Department at expo@pmmi.org and let us know so we can make sure you receive these important communications moving forward.

We recommend that you review the Exhibitor Service Manual and the Rules and Regulations for planning and organizing your booth before placing your order. Time is on your side - the discount deadline to receive 30 percent on most items is not until September 21.

PMMI Prevails in Lawsuit Fighting Fraudulent Use of PACK EXPO Logo and Phony List Sales

For several years, PMMI has been combating illegitimate groups as they attempt to mislead exhibitors into purchasing lists that are not attendee lists of our events. When in doubt, please keep in mind PMMI never sells our attendee email addresses. The attendee mailing lists are available for purchase through our approved list vendor – PMMI Media Group. Recently, PMMI has gained some traction and was victorious in a lawsuit against LogiChannel for misuse of the PACK EXPO logo and selling fake attendee lists. The court decision sends a clear message to all unauthorized vendors and we hope this is one step towards eradicating these business practices. Please read the full story here.

Booth Payments - Deadline for Final Payment Extended To August 1

The second 50 percent exhibit space deposit for PACK EXPO International and Healthcare Packaging EXPO 2020 is now past due. To provide exhibitors with some flexibility, we have extended the payment deadline for the final 25 percent deposit from July 6 to August 1.

If you have any questions about submitting your payment for the second 50 percent exhibit space deposit, please contact the PMMI Accounting Department at accounting@pmmi.org.

[Call for Abstracts] Two Speaking Opportunities Available!

We are now accepting abstracts from exhibitors who are interested in presenting on the PACK to the Future Stage and the Innovation Stage.

New to PACK EXPO International and Healthcare Packaging EXPO 2020, the PACK to the Future Stage will consist of 30-minute, seminar-based sessions designed to showcase advancements such as future innovations in packaging, sustainable solutions, smart packaging, and artificial intelligence. The stage will be part of the PACK to the Future exhibit, which will be located on the show floor in the West Hall.

The Innovation Stage will be comprised of 30-minute, seminar-based sessions designed to showcase recent industry breakthroughs, success stories, and best practices, all in one convenient location on the show floor. Establish yourself as an industry leader and expert by presenting on this stage and benefit from the new connections made with the attendees at your session!

The cost for each accepted presentation is $3,795. Please note that these presentations are intended to be provide insights on the future of packaging and not a sales pitch. There will be two review periods for submitted abstracts; only one abstract per exhibiting company will be considered during each of the two review periods. The review period deadlines are as listed below:

• First review period ends: July 10, 2020
• Second and final review period ends: August 7, 2020
